This is one of my first shots taken with the all manual Nikon 500mm Mirror Lens. It is hand-held at 1/4000th of a second and f8 with an ISO of 400. Accurate focus is difficult to achieve but possible. Matrix metering. Nikon D200 camera.
Again hand-held. Metered from the front silo with .5-stop exposure compensation. Nikon D200 camera. Acceptable results are possible hand-held with high shutter speeds. Both shots were had a mild degree of contrast dialled in in Lightroom, but the lens is not as low contrast as reports on the web led me to believe.
