I guess that I just don’t get Facebook. I did have a page, but removed it as I couldn’t stand the drivel my “friends” and relatives were putting up. It was simply stuff that I didn’t need, or want, to know.

I can’t imagine how the company is going to generate the income to justify an $85 – 90 billion dollar share issue. Advertising? Is Facebook’s projected slice of the finite international advertising revenue really going to be that big? What else is there?

To me Facebook has always been more “smoke and mirrors” than real substance.  I’ve had egg on my face before and I have no doubt that I will again, but even if the float exceeds expectations it will be interesting to watch Facebook’s progress in the long term.
